On the topic: As a Facebook addict eto mga tips:
1. You can IGNORE yung mga applications.

Remember the beach pics na in-upload mo?

3. Ang mga favorite applications ko sa Facebook: Sticky Notes and Are you Interested? Ang daling maghanap ng cute!

4. Facebook is perfect for those who are tamad to maintain their site & profile; Multiply is perfect for those who have a lot of time; Friendster is turning jologs na.

RYE: I super AGREE with Lawrence re. Facebook. Whenever I invite people to a particular application, that just means I was interested in that particular application, and was hoping you and the others may be interested in the same application. BUT if you are not interested in that application, REJECT! I've rejected so many invitations to applications that I'm not interested in.

And yes, Facebook is perfect for the tamad. I prefer updating my blog versus my Multiply; besides, I only use the latter more for "storing" my pics. Friendster is sooo YESTERDAY na here in Pinas.

I also noticed that since Facebook is more populas in the US versus Friendster, there are more Filipinos living/working in the US who have Facebook. So it was easier for me to get in touch with old friends/classmates/batchmates/etc who are now based in the US thru Facebook.

And YES, UBER-BUSY-NEZZ ako this December, LETCHE! Andaming mga gagawin, pupuntahan, panonoorin... AAAAARRRRRGH!

Addition lang: The sneaky-smart part about Facebook is that no one can get an application unless one invites others to use the said application. So no choice ka but to invite if you want to get an application. I try as much as possible to only invite people who MAY BE interested in a particular application.

But don't worry about rejecting invites... we wouldn't know you rejected it. Besides, we'll also understand na, in a way, "napilitan" ka lang to invite people.

I call Facebook the sosyal Friendster. Magugulat ka na lang kung sinu-sinong sosyal ang nasa Facebook -- even those who dont care to maintain a Frienster or Multiply account.

..But I did send a fan message to Lea Salonga on Facebook. Of course dedma ang lola mo. :P

hey dan and rye,

i'm a first-time listener of you podcast, nakakaaliw! thanks for podcasting about the pride march, and it was good to see you again, Dan! :D i think the annual parade in manila is doing well, but there should be serious efforts to upscale the organizing of the march - the community has been doing since 1999, and we really must scale up the number of participants in the march itself. :D

anyway, as a(n) (ir)regular byukon judge, may isang contestant who turned out to be a chemistry major and seriously answered the question on the expiration of poisons. sabi nya, stable ang chemical make-up ng lason, so hindi sya nag-eexpire. kaya mga kapatid, always always read the fine print of the products u ingest.

Happy new year!
