Salamat sa pagsagot sa mga tanong ko, friends! You know, nalimutan ko na nga yung mga ibang kamalasan ng China (coldest winter, the train wreck, etc) until nabanggit ninyo ang mga yun. Oo nga ano, parang mala-Nostradamus epekts ang mga kamalasan... parang may isang malaking Message mula sa Heavens Above. Sana naman ay malayo ang HK sa peligro. (At least rest assured that HK has never been hit by any earthquake in recent years. In fact, I was told that it's one of the least earthquake-prone area in the world--ewan ko kung scientific yun, pero yun na.)

regarding sharon stones comment, from a buddhist perspective is definitely wrong. when we say karma, buddhists actually talk about moral cause and effect, and moral responsibility. there are other laws which we abide by, that take into consideration the laws of nature, or natural causes and effects. in other words, we believe that sometimes, shit just happens, not necessarily out of karma.
